Iowa Sports Nutrition operates a centralized Fueling Station in the Carver weight room. Student-athletes have access to this Fueling Station before, during, and after strength training sessions.
Purpose:
Provides convenient access to nutrient-dense foods and beverages before, during, and after strength training.
Offers a wide range of options to meet special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergies, etc).
Gives student-athletes the knowledge and resources to select foods that meet their individualized health and performance goals.
Food of the Month provides exposure to new fueling options and keeps the Fueling Stations fun.
Additional Fueling Stations are located in team locker rooms and practice facilities.
Fueling Station foods and beverages are delivered to team practice locations across campus, ensuring that student-athletes always have convenient access to performance fueling options.
Fresh smoothies are prepared each morning and delivered to the Carver weight room.
